About the Author

Dr. Rick Jordan has been teaching the Bible for over 30 years. He leads workshops and conferences on teaching the Bible to adults. His Bible study lesson plans are published by Great Bible Teachers, Inc. He has been a youth minister, a minister of education, and a pastor. For the last 15 years, Dr. Jordan has served as the Church Resources Coordinator for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina. He extends his ministry through his blog (GreatBibleTeachers.com), through books and video training, and through Bible study curriculum. He has written curriculum for several publishers, most recently for Nurturing Faith where he wrote weekly lesson plans for each Sunday for 6 years. The lesson plans were downloaded by at least 3,500 teachers each week. He publishes books that help beginning Bible study teachers get off to a good start and helps the good teacher become a great Bible teacher. He writes curriculum that is easy to understand and quick to prepare. Dr. Jordan is a frequent conference speaker and workshop leader in the fields of Faith Formation, Christian Education, Missional Living, and Christian Spirituality. Rick Jordan has a B.A. in English from King University in Bristol, Tennessee; an M. Div. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri; and a D.
