About the Author
Melissa Mae Palmer, a professional counselor and mother of five, is a breast cancer survivor living with Pompe disease. Every two weeks she undergoes enzyme replacement therapy to extend her life. Coauthor Dr. Tim Lubenow advocates for patients with pain disorders. He is the medical director of the Pain Center at Rush University as well as an anesthesiology professor. I started reading this book because it came up on a search for answers for CRPS. I got involved in the author’s story about her life. She wrote it so personal and I was listening to each word. Enjoy the reading AND then also get information about CRPS. She lives in my neck of the woods too which was pretty cool as well. Well written book with personality and good medical information. I found this book to be a great read for sure!
Amazing story
Ok, this story is so very confusing that I had to stop reading it not even half way through. She leaves her husband in Arizona to head to Chicago with her family and 3 pages later she's talking about seeing her first doctor in arizona while her husband watched over their daughter, And it keeps getting more confusing, I quit. Good thing I didn't purchase but read it for free
