Ms. Alexander's books are genuine and especially Scripturally sound. I commend her for the inspirational effect of her writing style. Most of the characters thought processes are complicated and on occasion confusing, but resolved later. The mystery is intriguing, and I highly recommend the reader take the time and commitment to delve into this story. You will experience tearful and joyful emotions, which add to the truth-lending feature of fictional writing. The romance is rather slow in the development process, though endearing. God bless you, Tamera, for your faithfulness to God's Word.
I was surprised after reading the first two books to see who the main characters were in this book, but it was a pleasant surprise. I found the plot a little confusing. I never really understood why the heroine's benefactor was willing to give her so much money. It seemed strange to me. The interaction between Jack and Veronique I found quite entertaining. I really enjoyed the character development. My greatest disappointment was in the conclusion of the book. Without giving away spoilers, I thought the book ended very abruptly. I finished one chapter and turned the page only to find that the book was over. Sure there is an epilogue that summarizes a few things, but these are the very things I wanted to read about, not have summarized. I still enjoyed the book, but wished the author would have included a couple more chapters. If the length was a concern there were definitely parts earlier in the book that could have been left out in order to have a more satisfying conclusion. All in all it is a good conclusion to this trilogy with satisfactory updates on all the beloved characters of the previous books. I would have given this a five star rating up until the final chapter.
I have to say that the author is going downhill with her books of this series. "Rekindled" was a remarkable read. "Revealed" was good as well. "Remember" comes short to fulfill expectations of a reader who was much impressed with the first and second book of the series. This book did not hold much interest. It was not powerful. It was just a very simple read that did not hold much of my attention until the end of the book. The last sixty pages of the book were great. I was going to return the book without finishing it, but I am glad that I have read the ending. It was the best part from the whole book! But this book was nothing compared to her previous books. You feel much of an outsider of the story until almost towards the end. The author does not move the reader like in her previous books. You do not learn much from this book either. So, it felt like lost time of picking it up. I am glad that the writer came up with some important thoughts at the end that spoke to the reader.I hope to see more of that talent in her future books.I hope that the writer will not try to kill someone at the beginning of the book as well. She seemed to choose death to start each book of the series. With the last book, it was somehow annoying.I was going to read "Inheritance" next by the same writer, but the last book of this series made me very hesitant of picking out another by the same author.
A young French woman comes to America looking for her father whom she hasn't seen in over 20 years. He came over here to work as a trapper. She hires a driver and buys a wagon The driver is a great guy. They spent a long time going from one place to another looking for him. It's a great love story with loveable characters. The story is full of adventure
WONDERFUL 3rd book in the Fountain Creek Cronicles series, but can be read alone. I HIGHLY recommend this book and the series and actually anything by this author!! She is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE AUTHOR!!!! I've read 8 of her books and they are all GREAT! Although I would normally have not chosen a pioneer setting to read, Ms Alexander's historical fiction will have you captivated at the very start!
I so enjoyed reading the final story of Fountain Creek/Willow Springs. Each story is unique but touches the other in a fascinating way. The characters each carry a memorable weight not easily forgotten. Thank you for the work you put into these stories, Mrs. Alexander. I totally enjoyed myself.
I tried one book by Tamera Alexander and the next thing I knew, I was loading each and every one in the Fountain Creek Chronicles! Each book gets better and better with a general overview from people met in the previous books. Always a completely new person added to the story with excellent plots and very, very well written stories.I won't give anything away but this book is a must read! I'm presently awaiting another new book and have read these all so quickly. They are the type of books which you can't put down for long. Thank You Tamera for your wonderfully written books. I've enjoyed each and every one of them.
A beautiful story ending this series. All three books are worth reading , captivating, romantic, and mysterious. These are definite keepers.
